It was extremely helpful viewing the building firsthand, enabling me
to imagine how my ideas will fit into the space.
Points to consider:
- Building consists of impressive six storey vertical gallery next to
the ‘design shed’.
- The front facade of building is made entirely from glass.

- Main structure will be concrete and minimal, predominantly white, grey
and black. There is a need for exciting work to add life, colour and decoration.
- Large, open planned areas with different areas of art school placed together.
- Outdoor spaces, rooftop garden and courtyard, would require resilient weather-proofed pieces as they will be exposed to the elements.

- Light lanterns at top of building allow light to flow through to
ground floor, so there is the potential to use natural light in the work
